Student Leadership

At Edwardstown, we are committed to empowering our students to become confident, responsible, and active leaders, both within our school and the wider community.

Each year, our Year 6 students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles through an election process. Our leadership team includes student leaders, sports captains, and learner powers, all of whom demonstrate our core values of respect, care and compassion, and doing your best. These students lead by example, organise events, motivate their peers, and help create a positive and inclusive school environment.

A key part of our leadership model is the Student Representative Council (SRC), which ensures every student at EPS has a voice. The SRC includes students from all year levels who meet fortnightly with staff to share ideas, raise concerns, and contribute to strengthening our school culture.

At Edwardstown, leadership is more than a badge or title, it’s about developing a sense of ownership, agency, and responsibility. We encourage all students to take initiative, engage actively in their learning, and contribute meaningfully to school life, helping drive positive change and growth across our community.
